Striped Maxis + Hair Tutorial

First and foremost, you will all probably be getting a new follower on your blog this week (maybe for your second time).  I decided to switch my email address and sadly my old Gmail and Blogger accounts will not sync.  So bare with me. I guess I just love your blogs twice as much now?! Thanks for understanding.

After yesterday's post, I uploaded a video to YouTube with a sock bun tutorial. Enjoy!
(Sorry in advance for the occasional stink eye.  My family and friends always point it out, but I've never seen it in person.  Good stuff. I should really just wear my glasses.)

On a completely different note, I first spotted this gem thanks to Mackenzie at Design Darling, and I've had my eye on it ever since.

Then I got an email from Ann Taylor about a 40% off sale using the code NEWYEAR.  Let me present to you two different strip maxi options:

...........

Also on sale from Shopbop, a piece that can be both a maxi skirt or maxi dress. Two for the price of one.  Yes please.  These maxi skirts can be paired with a casual white tee and a necklace or just sweater.  I think it's a must have piece, and you will find it to be very versatile + cozy.

xoxo Carly

the sock bun looks sooo cute on you (and I didnt see a stink eye at all!). I think it looks better on blondes :( I look so silly when I do it!

THANK YOU for the hair tutorial! I hope you continue to do more of these, they are VERY helpful. :)
Also, the maxi skirt/dress paired with boots is super cute. I think I'll have to do that soon. Great post!

super easy bun!! I saw one where you do this with moist hair, keep it in over night, then take it out and you have a soft curl/wave.
