Panel and Print

H&M Top // Forever 21 Leggings // Target Sweater // Aldo Heels {old but similar here} // Anthropologie Watch
Nordstrom Necklace {old but similar here} //  Anthropologie Earrings  // Rebecca Minkoff Bag

Yes, I did make those leather panel leggings mine from awhile back. They are actually pretty nice quality for good 'ole F21 and not to mention extremely comfortable. I just can't help that I love a classic black look for fall. That being said, I told myself I was going to try to incorporate more prints and color in my closet. This H&M peplum top is becoming one of my favorite pieces in my closet- I love the mix of colors. Yes, I would like to put them on a canvas one day.

Note to self: DIY project in the near future.

These Are a Few of my Favorite Things

Nordstrom Necklace {similar} // Poshlocket Bracelets c/o // Anthropologie Watch

Aveda Agave Nector Lip Glaze // Epicuren Lip Balm // CoverGirl Liquiline

+ This lip glaze is the perfect nude and glides on so smoothly.
+ The lip balm was used at the end of a facial and was instantly purchased.  It's the most moisturizing balm I have ever used.
+ I've never used an eyeliner that glides on so easily; it was a breath of fresh air.

mink muffs // no place like chrome // chinchilly

Some of my favorite shades for fall especially 'no place like chrome'-such a gorgeous metallic!

Have a wonderful weekend! We're off to visit my brother in Minnesota, which also means I get my favorite pie in the whole wide world in northern Wisconsin. Nothing like delicious pie and family time.

Trend Talk

I plan on easing my way into this trend and sporting some metallic polish first and foremost. Then I'm fairly confident that I'll be ready to sport some metallic bottoms. I absolutely adore these shorts and skirt-pair them with a basic tee to add some texture to your look! Now, these shoes on the other hand...a tad out of my comfort zone but I mean the J.Crew cap toes? Ahhh-mazing.

So what's the verdict? Will you be sporting metallics this fall?

Weekend Snapshot

As I mentioned earlier, Boyfriend B and I made our way to Florida this Friday.  We couldn't have asked for better weather upon arrival.  Of course I had to do some prep-work before our departure though.

On Thursday, I got a much needed manicure and pedicure to prep for the days at the pool and beach.  OPI Mod About You is one of my favorite opaque pink polishes.  That and Essie Fiji of course, but I couldn't find it at the salon so Mod About You it was.  On Thursday, I had every intention of going to E Street in Mequon to get a birthday present for a friend, but I left with a new pair of rag & bone jeans.  Remember when I was obsessing over colored denim?! I finally found a pair to call my own.  Not only do I love the color, but they are now the most comfortable pair of jeans in my closet.  Did I mention that they were 20% off too? Ya, I love them even more thanks to that.  I paired them with my Tory Burch Reva flats that I got for Christmas.   On Friday, I traveled with my favorite up-do.  It kept my hair out of the way and was high enough that I could attempt to sleep on the flight.

Since our travel day, we've enjoyed quality time with B's family.  I would be lying if I didn't say Florida was beautiful. See what I mean:

Hope you all had an incredible weekend! It sounds like the Midwest has been plenty warm considering it's almost the middle of January.  Has anyone else barely had to wear their long Northface this year?

I'll be linking up with a {little} dash of ash for her Instagram Link Party!

Winter Wardrobe

Living in Wisconsin during the winter months can be a tad on the brutal side so I thought I would take the time to share with you some of my winter essentials for the upcoming cold bone chilling months.  And no, you cannot go wrong with simply wearing the biggest pair of sweatpants, sweatshirts, and slippers you can find, but here are my other favorites.
Baby It's Cold Outside

1.  Besides my long Northface and 180 earmuffs, the Hunter boots were by far my best investment throughout my college career.  I bought mine from Overstock for only $80.  I even waited patiently to be notified when my size and color were back in stock.  Well worth the wait.

2. I have been on the hunt for a fur vest the past couple of weeks.  Thanks K for doing some searching for me as well and dealing with me sending you links to more and more vests.  This image is from Ann Taylor and of course it's sold out.  It was just what I wanted.  A brown I could wear with black or white.  And I didn't want one that was in your face/over the top because I wanted to be able to wear it more than once a year.  After I had given up on the vest, K and I headed over to Anthropologie early last week (it's dangerous having one walking distance from your apartment), and what did I find on the sale rack?! You guessed it! The fur vest I had been looking for all along.

3.  I don't think I would mind having an infinite amount infinity scarves in my life.  How do you like that play on words?  While I love the one pictured above, one of my favorites in my closet is from LOFT.  And yes I look just like this when I wear it.

5. As far as the nail polish goes, I just really don't think you can go wrong with Essie.  I fully intend to wear this over winter break to add some pop to my outfits.  No, it's not a bright pink, but it's still brighter than the normal grey and taupe I keep using.  And it's called cocktail bling, so what's not to love?!

What are your favorite items for the winter months?

Essie to the Rescue

A wonderful lady that I had the privilege to live under the same roof with for a year and a half (why did you have to go abroad?!) will always hold a place near and dear to my heart.  She constantly reiterated the importance of keeping well-manicured nails, and you could always count on M to have some envy-worthy nails.  No, this is not the only reason I like her.  C'mon folks you know me better than that.  She can make you laugh for hours on end...no exaggeration.  If you are lucky enough to know her or one day meet her you know/will know exactly what I mean.  And be sure to check out her nails.

In honor of said friend, I have been keeping my nails in top notch shape lately.  I would go as far as to say that I've become a slight complete nail-snob.  At least I can admit it right?  It just makes you look more polished (literally).  I used to be terrified to put any color on my nails besides a pale pink or nude so I went WAY out of my comfort zone on my latest purchases, and by way out of my comfort zone I mean as close as possible to a neutral palette without getting too crazy.  Meet the newest additions to my Essie collection:

from left to right: mink muffs, power clutch, case study, and sew psyched

sew psyched in action.  I think I found the perfect shade of green.  This was no easy task my friends.

If anyone from Essie ever reads this, I could totally name some colors for you.  Here's my nail polish color portfolio...on the fly may I add:

Green: lady leprechaun
Grey: stone age
Pink: miami vice

Good right?!  Feel free to hire me whenever you please.  In the mean time, I think I'll work on mastering this but will another color besides black:

What's your favorite color for Fall??
