Eggtastic Strorage

Oh hey, November. How does each month continue to sneak up on me? The good news: we gain an hour this weekend, and I don't know about you, but I could really use another hour in my life right about now.
{Side note: I'm still convinced I lost an hour of life from having Daylight Savings in both Ireland and the US one year. A whole 60 minutes, just gone before my eyes. Obviously I'm still not over it}.

Anyways, a new month is the perfect time to start getting a tad more organized. Why not tackle some jewelry?

This egg crate {last seen here} is still one of my favorite purchases. It's now home to more earrings and dainty necklaces and still doing its job beautifully. Not only is the tray the cheeriest of blues, but it is also functional. Place it atop your dresser or in a drawer so you have quick and easy access to your little gems.

Stay tuned for an exciting post later today!

Panel and Print

H&M Top // Forever 21 Leggings // Target Sweater // Aldo Heels {old but similar here} // Anthropologie Watch
Nordstrom Necklace {old but similar here} //  Anthropologie Earrings  // Rebecca Minkoff Bag

Yes, I did make those leather panel leggings mine from awhile back. They are actually pretty nice quality for good 'ole F21 and not to mention extremely comfortable. I just can't help that I love a classic black look for fall. That being said, I told myself I was going to try to incorporate more prints and color in my closet. This H&M peplum top is becoming one of my favorite pieces in my closet- I love the mix of colors. Yes, I would like to put them on a canvas one day.

Note to self: DIY project in the near future.

Friday's Favorites

Today, I had to share some of my favorites lately.  Speaking of sharing, head on over to Christin's fabulous blog, With a C.H., where I am sharing  five things about myself on this fine Friday. Christin's the bomb dot com so show her some love. People still say the bomb dot com right?!

Anyways, I have had some serious will power this past week {fist pump for my bank account}.  I took a quick break from school work on Wednesday and tried on these pants and this sweater and don't know how I left Anthropologie and J.Crew without them.

Striped pointed toe flats? Just say yes to them.  They are such a fun way to spice up any outfit.

Let's get serious, anything Loren Hope will always be on my favorites list.

I first saw this Rebecca Minkoff stunner in Bop and realized I do not have any navy bags nor any colored bags for that matter. I think she would get along really well with my black and brown lovelies.

Swooning over the subtle pattern and bold black dial on this Nixon watch.

So there you have it. Those are the current favorites on my list. I need to choose one as a graduation present to myself.  That's normal right? Right.

Have a fabulous weekend! I'll be back on Monday with a graduation weekend recap! xo

Sunday Craving

On this rainy Sunday, I would love brighten up my day with this Anthropologie Viscid Watch.  How could you not smile every time you look at it? And the price makes me love it even more.

My pick is mint green.  Which would you choose?

Current Favorites

I have been on the hunt for staple pieces I can wear throughout the spring and summer and have had far too much success lately {I blame NYC for that}.  I thought I would share with you some of my favorite pieces at the best prices.

I, of course, waited to buy the wedges when Macy's was having a 15% off sale and used my student discount at J.Crew.  So I dropped the price even more {woo}!

I am a major scarf girl so I will pair this mint beauty with just about anything.  I could say the exact same for my new belt.  It adds the perfect pop of color to any outfit.  I am still searching for other wedges, but this is officially my first pair {I know, I'm a little late to get on the wedge train}.  I just couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.  Being 5'2", I wanted something that didn't go as high on the ankle so that my leg didn't get cut off.  But I am loving pairing these with skinny jeans at the moment, and the tassels truly are fun. Not only are these pieces practical, functional, and affordable, but they also make me smile when I wear them. Win, win, win and win.

What are your favorite finds for spring and summer thus far?

Egg Crate Jewelry Holder

I somehow wandered into Anthropologie yesterday and picked up this egg crate.  It is the perfect piece to keep my dainty jewelry organized.  Previously, these pieces were in little bags in my dresser, but it is so important to be able to see all of these smaller pieces otherwise they go forgotten.

What are some of your favorite ways to display jewelry?

Happy organizing! xo

Wishful Wednesday

This Wishful Wednesday is all about home accessories.  It took me awhile to even begin to figure out my style, but it is definitely not what I have in my apartment right now.  These are some of the current pieces I have my eyes on.

Quartz Bookends | Gold Athena  Tray | Zinc Letters {C please} | Capri Blue Candle
Franklin Magnifier | Leopard Matches

I am loving gold, white, black, and grey with pops of accent colors and various textures. These pieces would each add a bit of personality to my current apartment, which it is so in need of at the moment.

What are some home accent pieces that you have been swooning over recently?

A-Z Series: A is For

Happy first day of the A-Z Series!! As I mentioned yesterday, I'll be kicking off the series, but there will be some seriously stylish, creative, inspiring ladies to follow!

What's not to love about Asos? Whether you need to find that perfect LBD or need a pop of color in an accessory-this site has got it.  Not to mention the prices are right up my alley.  Did I mention how great their dresses are yet? Oh, okay just checking.

Asos

.............

And then there is this other store, which I'm fairly certain you have heard of: Anthropologie.  So many timeless pieces.  While some items may land on the pricey end of the spectrum, there is usually a good sale you can snag some great pieces at. Patience is a virtue.  Oh, how I would l-o-v-e, love to have that scarf around my neck as I type this post. I'd pair it with some charcoal skinny jeans + striped casual tee + my new pair of perfect brown boots.

Anthropologie

Other A items I love:
  • A-line dresses
  • Aldo heels
  • Aaron Rodgers (don't talk to me about yesterday)
  • Anything acoustic
  • Apples + peanut butter
  • Accessories, all accessories
What other A items do you love?

xoxo Carly

Anthropologie: Not Just Great Clothes

One day this summer, I was having a wonderful day in the Third Ward with miss RK.  We found ourselves to be a wonderful shopping duo (i.e. we were extremely successful; I'm only half serious dad and Mr. K).  Our mid-shopping break consisted of ginormous cookies from the Milwaukee Public Market--holy amazing.  I tried to save some for later, but who was I kidding?

We found our way into Anthropologie where I was originally only searching for clothes but stumbled upon some beautiful vases. One even came with a plant, which is great because all I need to do now is give it a little love...well water too.  As for the other one, I headed over to Michaels to buy some fake hydrangeas to fill the vase.  All and all, these gems cost me $30ish...yes ish because frankly I don't quite remember nor do I have any clue where the receipt is.  All I remember is that it was cheaper than expected, which is always a plus.

Each time I look at the vases, I wonder what else Anthropologie has up its sleeve.  Here are some of my most recent finds:

From the pops of color on the first and last vases, to the incredible detail and texture to the ones in between, all would add such character to a room.

Do you have any Anthorpologie favorites??
