Currently Dreaming Of: Cozy + Chic Offices

Since I have been home for winter break, I have been sending emails/blogging/pinning/Facebooking...on my couch.  Not so great for my back or my neck for that matter.  I have been getting more headaches lately.  I like multitasking though so I have been watching TV while I do said above tasks on my computer.   This has resulted in me dreaming about a cozy + chic office. No, I do not have any room in my current apartment for an office, but it can't hurt to know what you'll want some day down the road right?  I would want a space that is not only stylish but organized.  I don't think it's too much to ask to be in a pretty room while be productive.

Pillows for Couch Cushions

Now don't get me wrong, I love throw pillows, as noted here, but I just can't decide how I feel about the use of them in this trend.  I'm going to need your help on this one. Pillows for couch cushions?  I'm sorry but any guy who tries to sit in this chaos will not be pleased when they can't get comfortable to watch ESPN TV (Boyfriend B would you agree??)

I love the styling of these rooms, but once again, pillows instead of couch cushions?  I could absolutely see this in a living room, but definitely not a family room.  While we're talking about living rooms, why doesn't anyone ever sit in them? Can we do something about that?

When decorating, pillows are some of my favorite pieces to add to a room.  I love the endless options of colors, textures and sizes.  We're still talking about pillows here so get your minds out of the gutter folks. 

Have you seen the Scrabble pillows yet?? I would love to have these somewhere around my apartment or even in my future classroom!  How fun could it be for the little nuggets to move the tiles pillows around on the carpet in the room to spell out new words.  I think these would be a great hands-on activity for them.  Heck I'd probably want them in my apartment and in my classroom.  Here are some different ways to incorporate these pillows in your home:

Each of these brings a new element into the room, and you could even make these as a DIY project.  I hope to get around that one day.

Until then, maybe if I get these pillows I can improve my Words with Friends games where I am seriously taking a beating from everyone I play except for my younger brother (thanks for the confidence booster K!)
