Layered Denim

I am usually one to say that you need to go through your closet every six months to reorganize and reevaluate your pieces.  In this particular case, I'm really glad my mom didn't do that because then I wouldn't have this fabulous Levi's denim vest to layer with everything.

Spendid Dress {old} // Levi's Denim Vest {old} // F21 Belt // Aldo Pumps // Ray-Ban Folding Wayfarers
Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC Clutch // Etsy Necklace // David Yurman // DIY Bracelet

Besides this glorious vest, my sister and I are constantly fighting over vintage tees from our parents.  My favorites: USC shirt from my dad and an Oxford crewneck sweatshirt from my mom.

Be honest: do you go through your parents' closets too?

Words to Live By

Just something to remember this beautiful Monday. Cheers!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday and happy wedding week to the fabulous D & S! Can't wait to start the festivities tomorrow night!

In other news, I could not have asked for a more perfect quick trip to Chicago.  Friday night, the lovely Lara made Julia and myself some out-of-this-world-delicious appetizers, and we just chatted and chatted for hours. On Saturday, Julia and I got a quick brunch for some fuel before heading to Randolph Street Market. I walked away with some beauties if I do say so myself.  Let's just say I really want to move to Chicago, and that I'm getting pretty serious about it.

To top off my perfect weekend, I finally got to head over to Edith Hart {you can also follow them on Twitter here}. The design by Alex is simply breathtaking and not to mention, the selection of pieces and brands are amazing. If you live in Chicago, they are having a big sale right now, and you should get there ASAP.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! xo

On the Go

Zara Chambray top {similar here} // Zara Shorts // Tory Burch Flip Flops
Bag from Shibuya 109 {the craziest shopping mall in Tokyo} // Ray Ban Aviators // Michael Kors Watch
Jewelry: Jessie James Necklace, David Yurman, Stella and Dot Renegade Bracelet c/o, Forever 21 Bangles, Madison Elizabeth Designs Rings

Happy Friday, all! I feel like I'm pretty much getting back into the groove of being a normal human being again so cheers to that.  I have also fully enjoyed getting a lot of wear out of my new Japan purchases.

It's been crazy hot since I've been home but when I run errands I get cold. Let's break this down. You're hot so you wear a tank top but then have to go to the grocery store and if you're like me you naturally end up in the frozen dessert aisle and helllllo freezing. See what I mean? That's where this outfit comes in to play. I have been in need of shorts + long sleeves for the transitions from outside to inside throughout the day.  It's easy and light and you can mix up the jewelry or throw on a new pair of shoes and you're good to go for a summer night. This will quickly become one of my go-to looks.

I'm 99% sure I'm taking an impulse drive down to Chicago this weekend and cannot wait! I think I just ruined the impulsivity of that by posting about it but oh well, I'm excited.  What do you have going on this weekend?

Pretty Little Things

Each and every one of these pieces would put an extra little pep in my step. I mean who doesn't want a little giraffe around their wrist to see every time they check their watch? I think I would name her Roxanne and that we would be the best of friends.

What pretty little things are on your list these days?

Dynamic Summer Duo

I am officially stateside and getting back into the swing of things.  I will be back to normal posting again soon {which I am oh so looking forward to}.  In the meantime, I'll leave you with my favorite summer pairing.

Does this top not add the most perfect feminine touch?

Konichiwa!

A quick hello from Japan Land! We have just under a week left in this amazing country and only 3 shows remain before we're back in the good 'ole USA.  I am constantly amazed at the kindness and work ethic of our Japanese staff who have helped make our trip so memorable.  Here's a quick glimpse of our Irish dance life in Japan.

And how could I leave without a sneak peak at some new acquisitions?

Sayonara for now!
