Bright and Bold

Just in case you missed my post over at Taylor's blog this week, I thought I would share my ideal summer look over here today. This is what has had me inspired lately:



This year, I have vowed to wear more color, but I didn't want to break the bank investing in all new pieces as my closet is a safe haven for neutral apparel.  My solution: bright bottoms.  You can mix and match those neutral tops yet still add that pop to any outfit.

    YES! I love your idea of switching in bright bottoms with neutral tops! I really need to wear more color too - black is flattering & very easy to match with, but a bit boring for summer. THANK YOU for the inspiration! :)

    I love what you came up with! I am the same way as you- I have mostly neutral pieces but have been wanting to incorporate more color. I love your idea of investing in colorful bottoms to mix and match.

    I'm such a neutral & black girl. I hate it since the "in" thing is so much color... but I've been good about trying to incorporate those "pops of color!" Love all your picks!

    I've been doing the same thing- I just bought neon pink shorts and a teal skirt but pairing them with neutral tops

    I agree with you 100%! I'm always a neutral girl, but have been trying to incorporate brights into my outfits for Spring & esp Summer! A little neon never hurt anyone.. :)

    I totally agree, bright colors on bottom with a neutral top is perfect for the summer! I have a bright cobalt blue pair of shorts I pair with a top that is creme colored with coral dots.
